- The Unlikely Outdoorsman
- The problem
- Author Dante Zuñiga-West required a brand for his autobiographical book, with the title previously mentioned, to be used as the book cover, as well as the website and promotional materials for the book.
- What I made
- I created a logo-stamp using a black bear skull painted with Mexican 'Sugar Skull' design elements used in the holiday Día de los Muertos to tie in his multi-racial heritage, as that is one of the themes of his literature in this book, which tells the tales of trials and tribulations of a Black-Latino man pursuing an off-the-grid lifestyle focusing on hunting and fishing. I used photos of some of his excursions to craft a responsive website that places the viewer in a setting reminiscent of being submerged deep in the Cascadian wilderness.
- What changed
- We have a website that perfectly communicates the themes, topics, and aesthetic of Mr. Zuñiga-West's literature and his personal world, for promoting his book.
